Eva LaRue was born Eva Maria LaRuy on the 27th of December 1966 in Long Beach, Californa. She has a Scotish, French, Puerto Rican and Dutch lineage. She is also Jane Fonda’s third cousin. She is an active member of the Baha’i Faith. Growing up in California, Eva as a teenager join the state’s many beauty pageant. In 1984 she won the Danfranc Productions Miss California Empire which was a statewide pageant and held at Irvine, California.
Eva LaRue was best known for her role as Dr. Maria Santos Grey in the long running television soap All My Children. She first appeared on the show All My Children in 1993 which lasted for four years. Then she reprised her role in 2002 and this lasted until the 2005 season. For her role in All My Children, Eva was nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series by the Daytime Emmy Awards.
In 2004, Eva LaRue was once again nominated, but for a different category. She was nominated for Outstanding Original song for her composition of Dance Again with You. The song Dance Again with You was used in the soap as a theme song for her role, when her husband was paralyzed. In All My Childre, Eva developed a close friendship with actress Sarah Michelle Gellar who was one of the casts, playing the role of Kendall Hart.
Eva LaRue also appeared in several movies made for television. This included her portrayal of the Mousketeer Annette Funicello. Then she was seen as Princess Serena in Remembrance, an adaptation of the novel of the same title by Daniel Steel.
